    The US is back open for business! On Monday November 8, all travel restrictions to the US were finally lifted for vaccinated travelers, ending more than 18 months of restrictions on international travel.

    US Covid Exceptions for Certain Travelers from China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, Schengen Area, United Kingdom, and Ireland

    On April 26, 2021, the Secretary of State made a national interest determination regarding categories of travelers eligible for exceptions under Presidential Proclamations (PPs) 9984, 9992, and 10143 related to the spread of COVID-19.

    Students with valid F-1 and M-1 visas intending to begin or continue an academic program commencing August 1, 2021 or later do not need to contact an embassy or consulate to seek an individual NIE to travel. They may enter the United States no earlier than 30 days before the start of their academic studies.

    Good news regarding Covid requirements for New York!

    The state of NY has relaxed the quarantine rules as of last week: under the latest travel advisory, *international travelers arriving in New York State are no longer required to quarantine* or be tested upon arrival.

    The State has issued the recommendation that all international travelers should still get a COVID-19 test 3-5 days after arrival in New York, consistent with CDC recommendations. This requirement applies to all travelers even if they are fully vaccinated.

    This season, over 75 of our international students are participating in fall sports! Athletics gives international students the opportunity to make connections with local students, become a part of our greater community, and learn important soft skills like leadership and teamwork.
