Camp Farwell for Girls 2022, Newbury, Vermont
Camp Farwell, a Vermont, New England sleepaway summer camp for girls ages 6-17, has been a special place for its campers since 1889. Situated in the Green Mountain State on Halls Lake, our magnificent 100-acre site offers a wonderful location for a rich variety of activities — from horseback riding to water sports, from music and dance to team endeavors and individual pursuits.
If there were three ingredients that could be said to form each girl’s Camp Farwell experience, they would be friendship, community spirit, and a warm family environment. At the heart of the Camp Farwell experience is an underlying belief in the importance of personal growth, self-confidence, and an appreciation for nature’s beauty. Camp Farwell has thrived as a New England overnight summer camp for girls for over 130 years and through each summer the camp has continued to draw enthusiastic campers returning for their second or fifth season, new campers who leave with a heightened sense of beauty and friendship, and a dedicated staff who love the work they do and respect the role that Camp Farwell plays in the campers’ lives.

This season, over 75 of our international students are participating in fall sports! Athletics gives international students the opportunity to make connections with local students, become a part of our greater community, and learn important soft skills like leadership and teamwork. Today we offer more than 50 teams at many different levels, and all students are encouraged to get fit and have fun by joining a team—whether they are new to a sport or a potential New England champion. Many of our coaches also serve as faculty, which allows them to teach and coach through a holistic lens.
