Ashley Hall School for Girls, Charleston, South Carolina
Thank you for your interest in Ashley Hall's International Boarding Program. Ashley Hall is an all-girls school in the Southeastern United States. We are located in Charleston, South Carolina, a historic city founded in 1670.
From our founding more than 100 years ago, Ashley Hall has championed its original mission: To produce educated women who are independent, ethically responsible, and prepared to face the challenges of society with confidence. Today this mission continues to guide our curricula and teaching philosophy, inspiring both Ashley Hall faculty and students to engage in a vitally enriching educational community.
Small class sizes guarantee personal attention for all our students, and our teachers are always available to spend extra time with students to ensure a concept is mastered. 100% of Ashley Hall graduates receive acceptance to either the first or second choice of university or college.
International students studying at Ashley Hall are better prepared to matriculate into universities because of the critical thinking and problem solving skills taught by discussion-based humanities courses. Ashley Hall girls are given opportunities within their community to learn and to serve, whether it is through a trip to the Medical University of South Carolina, the College of Charleston Library, the marshes to study marine life, or a hands-on project to give back to the community philanthropically.
Extra-curricular activities including clubs, athletics and arts opportunities are offered to build a well-rounded girl that is prepared to meet the challenges of society. Our home for International Boarding students (as of August 2014) is a historic 9,223 square-foot home across the street from our beautiful campus.

Why would you send your daughter to an all girl's school?
Ashley Hall provides a challenging and rewarding academic environment for girls and young women in grades K-12. In the Ross Early Education Center, a co-educational program is provided for boys and girls, ages 2-5. A rigorous curriculum, taught by exceptional faculty, is customized specifically for the way girls learn and interact. Providing that environment ensures students an outstanding education, and a true sense of self, community, their place in the world and a competitive advantage in today's world.
A passion for learning and a hands-on curiosity drive both students and faculty at Ashley Hall. We are a dynamic learning community where girls are engaged, discerning, compassionate and independent. For more than a century, Ashley Hall has been a premier college preparatory school, offering a rigorous classical humanities, arts and science-based curriculum that inspires inquisitiveness and instills critical thinking. Our students graduate with a global and cultural awareness that will serve them well as leaders in our increasingly interconnected world.
Ashley Hall offers admission to girls and young women who are bright, eager and willing to challenge themselves both academically and personally.
